EMBR and THRUMM Join Forces to Unleash New Single “Albatross” (COC Cover) - A Blend of Doom, Sludge, Southern Rock, and Heavy Metal
Get ready to crank up the volume and immerse yourself in the raw power of old-school metal as EMBR and THRUMM join forces to release their electrifying new single, “Albatross” (COC Cover). Combining elements of doom, sludge, southern rock, and heavy metal, this track is set to ignite the 4/20 weekend with its infectious energy and blistering riffs.
Hailing from Birmingham, Alabama, and Atlanta, Georgia, respectively, EMBR and THRUMM bring their own unique flavors to the table, creating a sonic fusion that is as electrifying as it is unforgettable. With searing lead guitar breaks, pounding bass lines, and vocals that could wake the dead, “Albatross” pays homage to the classic metal sound while adding a modern twist.
THRUMM, with their blend of 70’s hard rock swagger and doom-infused dankness, sets the stage for EMBR’s heavy drums, raw guitar, and unique vocal arrangements. Together, they create a sonic experience that is equal parts exhilarating and hypnotic, transporting listeners to a realm where the only rule is to let the music take control.
For fans of Corrosion of Conformity, Down, and EYEHATEGOD, “Albatross” is a must-listen addition to your playlist. Whether you’re nodding your head or pumping your fist, this track is guaranteed to leave you craving more.
“Albatross” (COC Cover) is set to be released on April 19th, 2024, just in time to kick off the 4/20 weekend with a bang. Prepare to be swept away by the sonic onslaught of EMBR and THRUMM as they redefine the boundaries of heavy metal.
EMBR formed in 2015. Their mission statement is to find the happy medium between both sonic worlds, to walk with one foot in
somber density and the other in a place of blissful, uplifting tranquility. They have released 5 EP's and 1 full length album.

You know when you listen to an album and doesn't do it for you the first time? And then you listen again at a later time and it blows you away? How amazing is that? I 'm stuck on this album for a few days now, thinking "what the hell was I thinking?". Superb songwriting, killer vocal melodies. Jerry Cantrell is listening somewhere on his own and is smiling. Seriously, do not sleep on this album. Give it a spin today! Ioannis Valiakos

At the end of a shit day to throw on the headphones a listen to the three songs on here makes the day at least end on a good note. Heavy riffs, strong vocals and a nice pace make this release special. A heartfelt thanks to Solitude & Sin as i discovered this while checking out her collection along with many others. lloydd

This is an absolute gem. These guys should be much bigger than they are. All tracks are great but special shout out to the Pink Floyd-esque Pillar Man In The Sun, the bluesy Cosmic Drive and my fave Growler - awesome. Just buy it now! TheWayISeeIt
The surprisingly comical new video from roaring metal group Red Fang is a tip of the hat to the original “Predator.” Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 12, 2016
